Kellermeyer now offers a unique, proven
method for finishing wood floors that is easy to apply yet produces
a durable, high gloss finish.
The old way of refinishing gym floors
required either a complete sanding or sand screening of the floor
with a single disk machine. Damp rinsing at least twice. After at
least a hour for dry time applying either an oil-modified urethane
seal and finish or a two part seal and finish which must be applied
within two hours of mixing then allowing 12 hours for cure time
before applying the second coat. Once the second coat is
applied the gym the floor area would need three days before normal
foot traffic and up to seven days for heavy traffic
The Kellermeyer Water Based Gym Finish
program requires to roughen surface with a blue or black pad, rinse
once and let dry. Apply first coat of Kellermeyer Water Based Gym
Floor Finish. Let dry one hour. Apply second coat.
Open gym next day.
Water Based Gym Finish is a
one-part water-based urethane/acrylic wood finish that provides
long-lasting beauty and protection to all wood floors. There is no
mixing of a catalyst. It lays down easily with an applicator, is
recoatable in about an hour and ready for traffic in 24 hours. In
addition to offering excellent black mark, spill and scuff
resistance, WB-Gym Floor Finish is uniquely repairable with
burnishing equipment. WB-Gym Floor Finish meets or exceeds all
federal and state regulations for VOC content, is UL classified as
to slip resistance and is MFMA approved.
